Let go of perfection and embrace your creative flow with Fineliner Faces, a mindful art session that turns simple lines into expressive mini portraits. This workshop is all about trusting your intuition, quieting your inner critic and enjoying the process of making art (without overthinking!).
We’ll begin with a brief grounding meditation, followed by playful doodling and blind contour exercises to warm up the hand and mind. Then, we’ll move into a final piece: an abstract self-portrait or a portrait of someone you love, drawn with a fineliner on rich brown craft paper. This paper acts as a natural mid-tone, allowing us to explore light and shadow in a unique way.
From there, we’ll bring our drawings to life using fluoro and white coloured pencils, adding pops of colour, highlights and energy to our intuitive lines. The result is a striking, one-of-a-kind portrait ready to take home and frame.
This is abstract art made mindful and simple, a brief midweek invitation to slow down, tune in and discover the beauty of imperfection.
Make yourself a cuppa with our complimentary tea, and if you’d like to enhance the experience further, enjoy a little optional aromatherapy with Perfect Potion essential oil rollers.
No experience needed. Just bring your curiosity, and we’ll provide the rest.
