Mindful Art

Welcome to the Cork & Chroma’s ‘Mindful Art’ – your haven for relaxation and creative exploration. Just like your favourite yoga class, our aim is to guide you through creative practices that help you leave the day behind, focus on the present moment and nourish your soul.

 

Upon arrival to this session, you’re invited to make yourself a cup of warm tea and find a seat. ‘Mindful Art’ commences with a brief grounding exercise for the group, inviting you to let go of the day’s distractions and fully engage in the present moment. From there, we’ll have an art exercise that encourages curiosity and discovery, using various mediums and techniques. We’ll then move onto between two and four activities where our inner maker comes out and we use art to ground ourselves and come into the present moment. Whether you’re a practiced artist or a curious beginner, we are all in practice of mindfulness!

 

In these sessions, it’s not about the art we produce; it’s about the artist within. Research shows that just ten minutes of creative activity can significantly reduce stress. Imagine the possibilities when dedicating a full hour or two to mindfully expressing, crafting, and reflecting for your mental well-being.

 

No prior expertise required. Just show up with an open mind, ready to put the screens away and bliss out.
